With median house prices in Sydney’s CBD climbing further and further out of reach, many buyers are turning towards a more attainable goal – a new home in one of the thriving outer suburbs.
Both Sydney’s north and south west have undergone significant transformation in the past decade, with the New South Wales Government showing an ongoing investment into infrastructure and amenities.
The areas, which were once dominated by semi-rural farmland are now peppered with highly sought-after communities for families of all sizes.

The rise of quality communities are well positioned to benefit from this growth, and have a few things in common — affordable housing, spacious lands and everlasting tranquillity.
North west of Sydney
With the growing demand for homes in the north west — mirrored by the growing population — you can rest assured the value of your property will increase in years to come.
If you’re looking for wide open spaces with easy access to the city, Elara may be for you. This masterplanned community has seen exponential growth over the past few years, with families in particular drawn to the amenity and educational facilities on offer.

The community offers everything your family needs to work, learn and play, with St Luke’s Catholic College (years K-12) in operation and designs underway for the new Marsden Park Public School.
Elara also boasts some of the best local amenities, including a brand new sports field, a pocket park and the soon-to-be opened Livvi’s Place inclusive playground. In December 2018, the popular Schofields cafe, Limestone, opened a second venue inside a converted shipping container in Elara at Marsden Park.
There are also plans for a community shopping centre, fitness gym, childcare and medical centres.

If you’re an upsizer in need of a larger place, or honeymooners searching for your first home, look no further than the nearby Altrove community, located directly opposite the Schofields train station.
Make the most of your days by experiencing one of many activities in and around the community, including a hilltop park, cycling and fitness tracks, nearby schools and a shopping centre on its way.

Take time out from all the activity by setting anchor on the grass and enjoying a picnic with your loved one, or find a sunny spot and sit back in a community that ticks all the right boxes.
Residents of both Elara and Altrove will enjoy easy and fast access to the CBD with driverless metro trains between Sydney’s north west and Chatswood starting early 2019, keeping you connected at every step of the journey.
South west of Sydney
Developers have also set their sights on the south west, benefiting from the area’s potential for building communities, while striving to meet growing demand from buyers looking for affordable housing in Sydney’s outer areas.
Willowdale, 6 star Green Star development, which boasts approximately 40ha of parks and open space, has created a parkland destination for western Sydney within a five-minute drive of Leppington train station. And given the recent upgrade, you won’t need a timetable here – you’ll just turn up and go.

Hang out in this community where you can recharge in the many barbecue and picnic shelters surrounded by playgrounds, bike and scooter tracks and a small amphitheatre. Join in on the free daily fitness classes, including boxing and yoga, held at Willowdale Park.
If you have a furry friend, the community boasts five local parks — including the popular Dogwood Park.

The latest shopping centre features a wide range of local amenities including a dental surgery, pharmacy and medical centre. You’re also a quick drive away from a few of the best local hospitals — meaning nothing is too far away.
The Department of Education has confirmed a project is underway to deliver a new primary school for the Leppington area in Willowdale.
There’s also a new sporting precinct planned for the estate. The proposed design includes two playing fields, a community building, cricket nets and a playground. The application for the sporting precinct is currently under assessment with Campbelltown City Council.
